Ofsted’s 3 I’s: Intent, Implementation, and Impact

Within the updated Education Inspection Framework (EIF), Ofsted introduced 3 terms: Intent, Implementation and Impact. Ofsted use these ‘3 I’s’ to make a judgement on the ‘quality of education’ at a setting. Understand the 3 I's, explore the use of the 3 I’s in everyday practice, and apply it to your curriculum development.
Learning outcomes
- You will know the meaning of the 3 I's and how they relate to staff training, 'cultural capital', and the curriculum
- You will be able to use this terminology in your everyday interactions and practice, such as in staff meetings and 1:1's
- You will be able to showcase this knowledge and understanding during your own Ofsted inspection
