In this course, learners will be given a general introduction to the concept of safeguarding and its importance in a childcare setting. Learn when to be concerned – what is abuse and the possible signs of abuse, understanding the setting policy for reporting concerns, and whistleblowing. Explore the document ‘What to do if you are worried a child is being abused’ by the Department for Education.
The course is intended for learners working in nursery settings, or with school-aged children and young people.
On successful completion of this course, you will have the option of purchasing a CACHE certificate. This certificate must not be confused with nationally regulated qualification achievement.
