Dementia and communication

This short course, aimed at health and social care practitioners or those caring for a loved one with dementia, will consider the importance of communication and how to help someone who is progressively losing their ability to communicate. Explore some of the techniques you can use to encourage the person you’re looking after to communicate – including through body language and physical contact. View tips on how to respond to someone who is struggling to express themselves and how to cope with the frustration this can cause.
